When I saved this quick defense of Once Saved Always Saved on the computer I entitled it Willy the Octopus, so I thought it's name should remain unchanged:
John 10:28-29
Are you someone?
Can you snatch yourself out of God's hand?
If Jesus gives one of his sheep eternal life and the sheep lost it, was it ever eternal?
John 6:37-41
If Jesus failed to do the will of the Father, wouldn't that mean he sinned?
How many of those who the father has given Jesus will he lose?
If you come to Jesus, what can you do to make him cast you out?
1 corinthians 1:8
How long will he keep you strong?
Hebrews 13:5
Is there any possibility God ever leaving you? Ever? Under any circumstances?
Hebrews 10:14
For how long are you perfected?
Ephesians 1:13-14
How long does the Holy Spirit stay?
Romans 4:8
How often will God count sin against you?
Romans 6:5
What will hapen to those buried with him?
Romans 8:1
How much condemnation is there for those in Christ Jesus?
1 John 2:19
Are those who apostasize ever saved to begin with?
1 John 3:6-7
Is seeing and knowing God eternal life? (John 17:3)
Did those who practice sin ever have eternal life?
Romans 11:29
Will God take back salvation from someone?
Aren't justification and salvation synonomous?
Will God ever unjustify someone?
Phillipians 1:6Will God continue the good work he began in you?

Lordship Salvation?
........and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Lordship Salvation as I define it, is the belief that though a man comes to Christ he will not be saved unless he brings enough of his own commitment with him. But "what saith the scriptures?"
37All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
So if you come to Christ he will in NO WISE cast you out. Regardless of the ammount of commitement you bring. So now the question is.... Is it possible to come to Christ without or with little commitement to follow him? Yes.
Luke 14:26
If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple.
According to this verse it is possible to come to Christ without hating your own life. (Or submitting totally to the lordship of Jesus.) So now let's say that a person were to do this. Would Christ cast him out? Read John 6:37 again. And again.....
Matthew 11:28
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
So is coming to Christ being willing to labour and carrying a heavy load of submission? Or is it entering into the power of Christ and resting?
Hebrews 4:10
for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his.
So, when I'm entering into God's rest am I bringing my own works or commitment of works? Or am I resting?
Here's a link to Charles Spurgeon's testimony: http://www.middletownbiblechurch.org/helpseek/spurgeon.htm
Nowhere does he talk in any way about making a committment to follow Christ. It was simply "look and live look and live." And are we really going to doubt that Spurgeon was saved?
"My commitment to Jesus Christ does not save me. CHRIST SAVES ME BY HIS GRACE.
My surrender to His Lordship does not save me. CHRIST SAVES ME BY HIS GRACE.
My obedience to His Word does not save me. CHRIST SAVES ME BY HIS GRACE.
My love for the Saviour does not save me. CHRIST SAVES ME BY HIS GRACE.
My ability to fulfill all the demands of discipleship does not save me. CHRIST SAVES ME BY HIS GRACE.
My behavior and conduct does not save me. CHRIST SAVES ME BY HIS GRACE."
--George Zeller
Now, I do think that saving faith will end up producing these things as time goes on, but to say that my focus must in any way shape or form be on my own committment and obedience instead of the finished work of Christ is nothing more than works salvation and to more of an extreme point than even many Catholics or people who teach that you must be baptized to be saved.

Adding the word "unless" to verses.
Hebrews 13:5
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
This verse alone even without the support of many other verses proves the permanency of salvation.
Whenever somebody thinks they can lose their salvation I always point them to this verse.
What do I hear every time "But we can leave him or forsake him!" The verse doesn't say that. It says "never"
What people do who deny the security of the believer is add "Unless I do this" or "Unless I fail to do that."
But once again the verse doesn't say that. It says "never."
1 corinthians 1:8
He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Where's the "unless" in this verse?
Phillipians 1:6
being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
What about here? I don't see an "unless". Maybe I'm using a bad translation?
Jeremiah 32:40
I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me.
Unless...... I choose not to let him? Does it say that?
John 10: 27-29
27My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand.
Unless I sin too much? Unless I eat a chicken? Unless I use Italian instead of Ranch dressing?
Romans 8:30
And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
Unless I don't let him predestine me? Unless I don't let him call me? Unless I don't let him justify me? Unless I don't let him glorify me? No "unlesses" here.
Ephesians 1:13-14
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession—to the praise of his glory.
Guaranteing our inheritance until our redemption. Unless I forget to clean my toes? Unless I don't read my bible enough? No "unlesses" here either.
Why don't we stop adding unlesses to the Bible and just let it say what it says?
Unless of course we don't want too........
